The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Varsity Soccer Goalie Camron Shipley. Camron made countless saves in Washington's 1-0 win over Borgia Saturday night at Jim Scanlan Stadium at Washington High School. The game was scoreless through regulation and two overtimes and Shipley only gave up one goal in the shootout. Camron is a senior and this is his first year playing soccer.

The same holds true for those who sum up the plight of impoverished black communities as "that's how those people are."

Maty Mauk threw two touchdowns to Bud Sasser – the last with just over two minutes left to play – and the Tigers ground out a season-high 244 yards on the ground in a 24-14 win Homecoming win over Vanderbilt on Saturday at Faurot Field. With the win, the Tigers (6-2, 3-1 SEC) break a two-game home losing streak, and become bowl-eligible for the 10th time in Head Coach Gary Pinkel's 14 seasons in Columbia.
