Red Cross Says Blood Supply Remains Critically Low
The clamoring over COVID-19 may have calmed but the Red Cross says some things don't change like the urgent need for blood. The Red Cross says the need is still critical as we head into the big travel months of the summer. May is Trauma Awareness Month and COVID stressed the blood supply to the maximum. The Red Cross is urging St. Louisans to donate. Type O, both negative and positive, is the most requested blood type, but all types are needed.
