On February 15, 1992, he was united in marriage to Carol Gurlin Cook in Crystal City, MO, who brought a daughter into their marriage and was later adopted by Bob. After high school he discovered his love of carpentry by working for his uncle Sylvester “Boots” Kuenzel building homes in the area. After the service he started working for several different companies in the St. Louis area where he became a master carpenter. He wanted to take his talent to his local community and worked for several companies in Washington before starting his own business in 1980, Robert F. Weber Custom Builders, Inc. He believed in honesty, integrity & great work ethic. His sons, Dean, Jeff, & Tim learned quality workmanship from their father & worked through high school and college. He loved to go camping with family and friends starting with 5th wheels and graduating to motor homes. Traveling was another of Bob’s passions. He traveled all over the world and the beautiful United States of America with his wife, Carol. His final trip of a lifetime was to Alaska in 2019. He & his brother, Jerome, restored an antique tractor, a 1948 International Farmall H because his dad had a tractor of the same make. He drove several years in the KC Charity Tractor Cruise for donations to the St. Louis Parkinson Association.
