Felony Arrest Leads to Second Arrest After Manhunt

SULLIVAN, MO. - Thursday afternoon a search warrant executed in the 3300 block of Lollar Branch Road by Franklin County SWAT and the Multi-County Narcotics and Violent Crimes police led to one arrest and a manhunt for a second.
Friday morning the second suspect was arrested thanks to the help from the community after the Sheriff’s Department made a post on their Facebook Page that included a description of the suspect.
While deputies were still searching the residence a male approached police then fled after the located illegal contraband.
The suspect then approached a nearby residents where he was met by the homeowner armed with a gun. The homeowner contacted 911 and held the suspect at gun point.
However, as deputies began to arrive the suspect fled. The homeowner fired several shots at the suspect but was able to allude police.
Investigators were unable to locate any blood from where the suspect fled and it was believed the suspect was not hit.
A search was conducted by air and ground but were discontinued due to the darkness.
Friday morning information was received from area resident who discovered a male person sleeping in his truck. The person matched the description of the suspect who fled from law enforcement on Lollar Branch Road the day before.
The suspect exited the truck but obtain a ride from another vehicle which was traveling towards St. Clair.
Law enforcement stopped the vehicle and arrest the suspect without incident. The suspect is a 31-year-old white male from Sullivan, Mo.
Identity of the suspect is being withheld pending formal charges.
Investigators located drug paraphernalia and two firearms at the home on at the home Lollar Branch Road, investigators located drug paraphernalia and two firearms.
Christopher Grant, 34-years-old of Sullivan was arrested for a felony probation violation no bond warrant.
