GERALD, MO. - A two-alarm fire destroyed a two-story home in Gerald shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Officials said the second story had partially collapsed before crews arrived on the scene in the 22 hundred block of east 4th Street.

According to neighbors the home has been unoccupied due to damage from recent storms.

Firefighters were on the scene for about six hours battling the blaze.  As of 10:30 a.m. several Gerald/Rosebud units were still on the scene for clean-up.
