Washington and Owensville to Receive Extra Cellphone Network Support for Solar Eclipse

Thousands of tourists are expected to descend on several rural areas of Missouri for the solar eclipse on August 21st.  To help those looking to document this historic event on their phones, AT&T is planning to deploy extra network services in four Missouri cities in the path of the eclipse.  Both Washington and Owensville will be among those cities receiving these extra resources.  AT&T will be setting up a Cell on Wheels (COWs) at the Washington Fairgrounds in Washington and the Gasconade County Fairgrounds in Owensville.  The COW’s boost network connectivity.  This improved coverage will allow AT&T customers faster and more reliable connections during the eclipse.  The other two Cells on Wheels being rolled out for the eclipse will be located at Rosecrans Memorial Airport in St. Joseph and Cosmo Park in Columbia.
