New Haven Community Youth Fair to be Held Friday and Saturday

Organizers are preparing for the New Haven Community Youth Fair this weekend.  The two-day event will take place on July 7th and 8th.  A variety of livestock shows will get things rolling on July 7th, beginning with the goat show at 1 pm.  There will also be sheep, poultry, rabbit, bucket calf, and swine shows.   Then the main events for Friday night begin with the Queen Contest at 7 pm, followed by the Pig Scramble at 8.  Activities for Saturday, july 8th begin bright and early with the 5K Walk/Run.  Registration begins at 6:45 am, with the run starting at 7:30 am.  Livestock shows will begin at 9 am with the beef breeding show.  Other notable activities for Saturday include a kiddie tractor pull at noon, the annual dog show at 2 pm, and a washer tournament at 3.  Lower arena activities get rolling with the Farm Tractor Pull at 3.  It will be followed by the Street Stock Truck Pull at 6 and Xcaliber Pulling at 7 pm.  For more details on the New Haven Community Youth Fair visit their website at nhcyf.com.
