Franklin County Sheriff's Office to Take Part in Labor Day Crackdown

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has announced they will be out in full force from August 18th through September 3rd as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Labor Day Weekend Crackdown.  The crackdown will include high visiblity enforcement throughout Franklin County.  Franklin County deputies will be aggressively looking for impaired drivers during the crackdown and will arrest anyone caught driving impaired.  Nationally, around one-third of all motor vehicle traffic deaths involve atleast one substance impaired driver.  In 2016, 218 people were killed and 664 were injured on Missouri roads due to impaired drivers.  Research shows high visibility enforcement like the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign” reduces substance impaired fatalities by up to 20 percent.  For more information on the enforcement campaign visit savemolives.com.
