Missouri Migratory Bird Hunting Starts September 1st

Migratory bird season in Missouri is set to begin on September 1st.  That day will mark the opener for dove, snipe, and rail season.  Teal hunting will follow on September 9th and woodcock season will open on October 15th.  For dove season Eurasian collared, Morning, and white-winged doves can be taken from September 1st through November 29th.  Snipe season will run from September 1st through December 16th.  Rail season will run from September 1st through November 9th.  Hunting for blue-winged, green-winged, and cinnamon teal will run from September 9th to the 24th.  Lastly, woodcock season will run from October 15th through November 28th.  For more information on migratory bird hunting in Missouri pick-up a copy of the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Migratory Bird Hunting Digest 2017 or visit huntfish.mdc.mo.gov
