Franklin County Residents Encouraged to Take Part in Drug Take Back Program

Area residents can help prevent the misuse and abuse of prescription drugs in Franklin County this weekend.  The DEA will be holding their annual National Take Back Initiative for prescription and over-the-counter medications on October 28th.  All unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications can be dropped off at the Washington, Union, Pacific, St. Clair, and Sullivan Police Departments on Saturday, October 28th from 10 am to 2 pm. Organizers request for only pills and patches to be turned in.  The program is completely anonymous and no requests for identification will be made.  For more information contact the Franklin County Narcotics Unit at 636-239-9700.
