Active Meth Lab Found in Pickup Truck in St. Clair

A 28-year old St. Clair man is in custody after an active meth lab was discovered in his pickup truck.  St. Clair Police responded to Fast Lane in St. Clair just after 7:30 am on Wednesday for a report of a man slumped at the wheel of a pickup truck in the Fast Lane parking lot.  The man was located and removed from the vehicle upon officer's arrival.  Further investigation uncovered an active meth lab in the vehicle.  Both suspected meth and pseudophedrine were recovered from the vehicle.  The suspect, 28-year old Ronald Wertenberger of St. Clair was also found to have two active warrants for traffic violations.  He was arrested on the warrants, with further charges pending for the meth lab.  The Franklin County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit is currently handling the investigation.
