Franklin County Man Arrested for Bomb Possession

A Robertsville man is behind bars for both drug and bomb possession.  The Multi-County Violent Crimes and Narcotics Unit, along with Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office were conducting an investigation at an address in the 5900 block of Calvey Creek road in Robertsville on Thursday.  During the investigation authorities seized a small amount of meth from the 32-year old man living at the residence.  Upon further investigation deputies found two pipe bombs and two firearms in the residence.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was called to the scene.  They were able to confirm one of the bombs was a working explosive device.  Warrants were obtained against the man at the residence for Unlawful Possession of an Explosive Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The suspect in the case is 32-year old Jared Combs of Robertsville.  Bond in Combs’ case has been set at $30,000 cash only.
