UC Davis is moving on to the Round of 64. The Aggies rallied in the second half for a 67-63 win over North Carolina Central in a First Four matchup in Dayton. Chima Moneke had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the 16th-seeded Aggies, who will clash with top-seeded Kansas in the opening round of the Midwest Regional on Friday. Kyle Benton collected 13 points and 12 boards for the Eagles, who end the year 25-and-9.
The USC Trojans erased a 15-point halftime deficit as they stunned Providence 75-71 in First Four action from Dayton. Chimezi Metu's jumper with 6:46 left gave the Trojans a 61-60 lead, and they never trailed again. Bennie Boatwright scored a career-high 24 points, and Jordan McLaughlin added 18 points and 10 rebounds. USC got revenge after falling to the Friars in the First round of last year's NCAA Tournament. The 11th-seeded Trojans move on to face sixth-seeded SMU on Friday in Tulsa. Emmitt Holt led Providence with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Friars end the season 20-and-13.
