State Championship Golf

Class 2-The Hermann Bearcats won the state championship by erasing a five stroke decifit, beating Palmyra in a tie breaker. Hermann and Palmyra tied at 627 after two rounds. The fifth score in the second round is used as the tie breaker. Justin Grosse of Hermann shot an 89 and Zach Burch of Palmyra shot a 91 giving Hermann the two stroke victory. Ross Henson-144-3rd place, Thomas Henson-150-7th place, Matthew Heidger-161-16th, Andrew Budnik-172-37th.

Class 3-Borgia slipped from 1st to 4th, finishing the tournament with a 632. Will Schroeder-154-17th place, Austin Hoerstkamp-156-23rd, Zach Unnerstall-160-36th, Tom Alferman-162-39th, Mark Maguire-181-96th.  Other local results-Bennett Tiefenbrunn of Sullivan-150 for 7th place, Cameron Van Leer of Pacific-157-26th, Logan Moritz of Owensville-159-30th, Travis Toebben of Warrenton-172-76th.

Class 4-Matt Hoemann of Washington carded a 77 Tuesday and finished with a two day total of 149 and captured 4th place. Joseph Terscluse of Chaminade won the state title with a 146.
