Cardinals Rout Reds With Nine-Run Fourth

The Cardinals scored nine times in the fourth inning to break open a one-run game and beat the Reds 13-4 in Cincinnati.  It was highlighted by Jose Martinez's first career grand slam.  Kolten Wong had three hits, an RBI and scored twice as St. Louis took two-of-three.

It was a short outing for Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright in his return from the disabled list.  He gave up a three-run homer to Joey Votto in the first inning and was gone after the third.  Wainwright allowed four hits, five walks and three runs, throwing 88 pitches.
