Blues Battle Stars Tonight

The Blues and Stars square off tonight at Scottrade Center.  The Blues snapped a season-high, three-game losing streak at Montreal on Tuesday.  St. Louis had lost four of its previous five games.  The Blues are third in the Central Division with 38 points, only one behind first-place Nashville.

The Blues are the NHL's 17th-most valuable franchise.  That's according to Forbes, which estimates the franchise's value at 450-million-dollars.  That's ranks behind Anaheim and ahead of Minnesota.  The Rangers are number-one at 1.5-billion-dollars.  Arizona is last among 31 teams at 300-million. 

The Blues are sending a trio of prospects to Canada's selection camp for the World Junior Championships in Buffalo.  Forwards Robert Thomas, Tanner Kaspick and Jordan Kyrou are among 32 players to receive invites.  The tournament will take place December 26th through January 5th.
