Girls Soccer

Maggie Weller scored twice in the 57th minute and again in the 60th minute to lead Fort Zumwalt East to a 2-1 victory over Washington at Jim Scanlan Stadium.  Sophomore forward Rebekah Lewis got Washington on the board in the 74th minute and the Blue Jays threatened late, but Lion goalie Isabella Henderson made several saves to get the win.  Zumwalt East improves to 5-5-1 and Washington drops to 7-4. 

Hillsboro Tournament-Perryville 2 St. Clair 0.  The loss drops the Bulldogs to 6-5-1.

Borgia beat St. Pius on penalty kicks.

Quinn Paulus scored six goals leading St. James past Sullivan 6-2.  St. James is 6-2 and Sullivan 1-7.

St. Charles had no problem with Warrenton in a 10-0 romp over the Warriors.  Brooke Schneider scored three goals for the Pirates, now 9-2.  Warrenton slips to 1-4.

 

Baseball

Union came from behind to beat St. James 8-4 at Wildcat Ballpark.  Jacob Fleming pitched a complete game and also chipped in two hits and one rbi.  Trevor Kelly hit a three run homer in the 6th that put Union on top.  The Wildcats improve to 3-0 in the Four Rivers Conference.  

St. Clair 7 Hermann 6.  Mason Dodson doubled twice with three rbi's.  Blaine Downey pitched one inning for the win.  St. Clair moves to 3-7 while Hermann drops to 2-6. 

Sullivan exploded with a 10 run 4th inning and went on to beat New Haven 11-1 in five innings.  

 

Golf

Pacific 186 Union 202 at Birch Creek-Cameron VanLeer was the medalist with a one under par 35.

Warrenton Invitational Tournament.  

White Division-Borgia was 1st with a 301.  Tommy Alferman of Borgia and Bennett Tiefenbrunn of Sullivan tied for 1st with 72's.  Mark Maguire of Borgia was 4th with a 74.  Washington finished 8th with a 341.  Logan McPherson was 5th with a 75 

St. Clair took 5th in the Red Division with a team score of 378.  Justin Hoffman finished 4th with a 78.  Warrenton took 2nd with a 329. Travis Toebben finished 2nd with a 74.  

 

Track and Field

St. James boys and girls both finished 1st in the Cuba Invitational.  

 

Boys Volleyball

St. Dominic beat Borgia 25-20 25-21

 

Local College Softball

Mineral Area College took both games of a doubleheader with East Central College 7-4 and 8-7.  

Jensen Crenshaw and Kori Fiedler both homered in game 1.  Marissa Boyd and Megan Micke homered in game 2.  

The Falcons are 15-13.
