Cards Hold on to Edge Reds

Carlos Martinez dazzled over seven innings of scoreless ball and the Cardinals held off the Reds 3-2 in Cincinnati.  Martinez struck out 11 and allowed just two hits to improve to 2-and-1.  Harrison Bader put the Cards on the board with a two-run homer in the second and Yadier Molina padded the lead with an RBI single in the seventh.  Bud Norris held on in the ninth to earn the save as St. Louis completed a four-game sweep.  Billy Hamilton and Adam Duvall hit late solo homers for the Reds, who lost their eighth in-a-row to fall to 2-and-13.  Homer Bailey dropped to 0-and-3 with the loss.
