The Johnnie Brock's Party Store Athlete of the Week is Drew Eckhoff-Senior Baseball Player-St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington.

Two games into the season, Eckhoff is hitting .500 with an on base percentage of .571 and he's slugging .667.

3 for 6 with a double and 3 rbi.

In a 4-3 season opening win over Sullivan, Eckhoff was 1 for 2 with a double, 1 rbi, a stolen base and a run scored.

In a 12-1 win over Belle, he was 2 for 4 with 2 rbi and a run scored.

Defensively, Eckhoff will anchor the left side of the infield at shortstop, but can play multiple positions. He displays a good glove with good range and a strong arm. Eckhoff can also pitch.

Drew Eckhoff is a four-year starter for Borgia on the infield, primarily playing shortstop and batting leadoff. He was a member of Borgia's 2023 Class 5 State 2nd Place and our 2024 Class 5 State Quarterfinal teams. Individually, he earned All District, All Conference, and Academic All State honors in 2024. He was also All Conference in 2023.

Drew plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and study Math/Finance/Actuarial Science.

The Johnnie Brock's Party Store Athlete of the Week is Taylor Scheer-5'9 Sophomore Guard-St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington.

Leading scorer both seasons.

9 points per game last season and 11 per game this year.

Taylor will eclipse 500 points by the end of this season.

Highest single game scoring was versus Washington with 26.

Excellent defender. Always has to guard our opponents best perimeter scorer.

She has accumulated 105 steals.

Last season awards: All district, 1st team all AAA Conference. All Tournament Team-Peoples Bank Holiday Classic.

This season was named to the All Tournament Team at the Competitive Edge Borgia Tournament.

The Johnnie Brock's Party Store Athlete of the Week is 5-10 Senior Isabelle Gilbert-Union Wildcats.

Stats: 11 points and 4 rebounds per game.

Season Highlights: Isabelle was the MVP of the Lutheran South Tournament. She scored 33 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in three games. She posted a double-double in the championship game leading Union to a win over Lutheran South.

Isabelle was also named to the all tournament team at Borgia.

Three time Academic All Conference.

Scored in double figures 13 of the last 16 games.
