The Johnnie Brocks Party Store Athlete of the Week is 6-3 Senior Guard Jaden Grosse-Washington Basketball.

Jaden scored 59 points over 3 games in the the Borgia Tournament last week.

He scored 28 against Borgia, 15 against Pacific and 16 against Owensville, helping Washington win the consolation final.

Jaden was named to the All Tournament Team.

Scoring Average: 19.6

Jaden junior year: Averages 10 points per game with 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He scored in double figures 14 times and his season high was 20 against the blue knights and 19 against pacific.

This year so far: averaging 19 points per game, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals. Had a career high with 28 against Borgia.

GPA: 3.3

Favorite Subjects: Missouri History/British Literature/Art.

Jaden wants to play basketball in college.

Possible Career Path: Psychology/Coaching.

Jaden ran track his Freshman year and played football in middle school.

The Johnnie Brock’s Party Store Athlete of the Week is Landon Apprill-Junior-St. Francis Borgia Soccer.

3 year varsity player and 2 year starter. Primary position is striker (center forward). He also plays some wing and center mid when needed.

Season Stats-16 goals and 8 assists.

Career Stats-31 goals and 17 assists

In National Honors Society, leader for our program for 8th graders call Healthy Lifestyles, leader for freshman orientation retreat called Luke 18.

Ran track last spring and competed in the triple jump, long jump, 100, 200, and 400

GPA-3.8.

Favorite Subjects-Math/History.

Landon is looking at his options after high school. He is leaning toward Mizzou, but would consider college soccer for the right offer.

Career Path-Business.

Landon was coached by his Father, Matt Apprill, until he entered high school. Matt Apprill played soccer at Borgia and graduated in 1999. Matt, who also played forward, scored 25 goals over his final two years. Landon has 31 goals and 17 assists for his career.

The Johnnie Brock's Party Store Athlete of the Week is Jacob Bina-Senior Wide Receiver and Defensive Back-Washington Blue Jays.


Bina posted 5 receptions for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns helping Washington beat Eureka 14-13 Friday night.

Bina reeled in a 10 yard pass in the first quarter and a 63 yarder with 1:45 left in the game.

Defensively, Bina was one of two players to finish with 7 tackles and 1 assist.

Season Stats Offense-33 receptions for 595 yards and 7 touchdowns. Average-18 yards per catch. He is also 3 for 3 passing for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defense-40 tackles and 23 assists for 63 total tackles and 3 interceptions. Punting-25 punts for 952 yards for a average of 38 yards per punt.

1st Team GAC Central Defensive Back.

GPA: 3.2

Favorite Subjects: Vocational School-Machine and Tool/Weight Lifting/Team Sports.

Two Sport Athlete: Football/Basketball.

Favorite NFL Team/Player-LA Chargers/Ladd McConkey.

Jacob plans to attend State Tech in Linn and study Electrical Technology.

The Johnnie Brock’s Party Store Athlete of the Week is Hunter Reinberg-Senior Midfielder-St. Francis Borgia Soccer.

Saturday-Hunter scored a goal helping Borgia defeat Van Horn 3-0 in the State 3rd Place Game at Hunter Stadium on the Campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles.

Season Stats-Hunter was second on the team in scoring and assists with 13 goals and 11 assists for 37 points, including 1 game winning goal.

Hunter is one of eight seniors on the team.

Two Sport Athlete-Soccer and Basketball.

GPA-4.0.

Favorite Subjects-Math and History.

Career Path-Business/Finance.

Hunter wants to play soccer in college. He is undecided on a school.

Hunter was a part of Luke 18 (Freshman orientation retreat), NHS, Chess club, Basketball for 3 years (fresh, soph, and Senior), and Soccer for all 4

Had a 4.0 GPA

Soccer career stats 26 goals 18 assists

2022/23 all district team, 2nd team all conference, state champs.

23/24 first team all conference, all district team. All Region team, second team all state

24/25 all district team, class 3 region 3 player of the year. All academic team. All state has not been released, but I expect Hunter to be on the all state team.
