The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Adam Rickman-6-6 Senior Forward-St. Francis Borgia Basketball.

Rickman scored 53 points over 3 games in the 71st Annual Borgia Thanksgiving Tournament last week and led Borgia to a 62-39 win over Union in the title game Saturday night.

He was named the KLPW MVP.

GPA: 3.5

Adam is currently averaging 17.7 points per game and is 5 for 9 on three pointers-55.6 percent and he is 8 of 16 on free throws. He is also averaging 9 rebounds, 6.33 assists and 3.67 steals per game.

Adam will continue his basketball and academic career at Missouri S&T in Rolla.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Nathaniel Knaff-Senior Offensive and Defensive Lineman-Pacific Indians.


Four Rivers Conference 1st Team Offensive Lineman. 2nd Team Defensive Lineman.

Knaff intercepted a pass that led to a Pacific touchdown in the second quarter of the Class 4 Quarterfinal game against Hillsboro Friday night.

4.0 student.

He wants to play football in college.

Nickname: Peanut.

Three sport Athlete-Football, Wrestling and Track and Field.

Favorite Subjects: Math and Science.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Tate Marquart-Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back-St. Francis Borgia Football.


Marquart scored 3 touchdowns leading Borgia to a 42-25 win over St. Clair in the district championship game Friday night.

His touchdowns came on receptions of 4 and 31 yards and a 60-yard run.

Game stats: 3 carries for 69 yards. 6 receptions for 79 yards. He also played good defense in the secondary.

Season stats: 17 carries for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns. 42 receptions for 463 yards and 5 touchdowns. Defense: 15 tackles and 2 assists.

Three sport athlete: Football, Basketball and Track.

GPA: 4.0

Favorite Subject: History.

Tate wants to play football in college. He has visited several schools and plans to make a selection soon.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-1 Senior Guard Ozzie Smith-Union Basketball.

Early season highlight. Ozzie was named to the Borgia All Tournament Team after scoring 42 points over 3 three games and helped Union advance to the title game.

He also scored 16 points leading Union to a 56-54 win over Washington last week.

Ozzie is averaging 14.5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

He's connected on 6 of 13 three pointers for 46.2 percent.

Weighted GPA: 3.6

Favorite Subject: Math

Career Path: Accounting/Finance
